Cargo2SG – Sea Freight Shipping Fees (General & Sensitive Goods)

Charged by volume (CBM), not actual weight. Formula: Length × Width × Height (in metres) of the parcel packaging.
The chargeable volume is the measurement taken by our warehouse staff after your parcel arrives. Dimensions quoted by sellers or estimated by you are for reference only.
Minimum volume: you can ship once your parcels reach just 0.1 CBM. We do not require a 1 CBM minimum like many other freight forwarders.
Transit time: about 13–15 days from our Guangzhou warehouse to Singapore.
Heavy goods: very heavy items (e.g. tiles, steel, stone, gym weights, machinery) are charged by weight at 500 kg = 1 CBM, using our warehouse scales.
Free services: no extra fee for packing or consolidation, and unlimited parcels can be consolidated per shipping order.

All sea shipping parcels are subject to 9% GST, based on the parcel value you declare in the User Center.
Total payable = Shipping Fee + 9% GST
GST is collected by Cargo2SG and paid to Singapore Customs. You are responsible for declaring the correct value of your parcels.
Example 1 (below 0.41 CBM): a 75 × 56 × 42 cm carton = 0.1764 CBM, billed as 0.18 CBM:
- Shipping fee: 18 × S$2.00 = S$36
- Declared value: S$100 → GST: 9% × S$100 = S$9
- Total: S$36 + S$9 = S$45, plus S$25 home delivery (or free self-collection)
Example 2 (0.41 CBM and above): an 80 × 70 × 80 cm carton = 0.448 CBM, billed as 0.45 CBM:
- Shipping fee: 0.41–0.50 CBM band = S$83
- Declared value: S$100 → GST: 9% × S$100 = S$9
- Total: S$83 + S$9 = S$92, with free home delivery in Singapore (0.41 CBM and above)

Definition: sensitive goods include:
- Branded/luxury items (e.g. Nike, Adidas)
- Liquids or powders (e.g. ink, toner, shampoo, beverages)
- Batteries, magnetic items or electronics (e.g. smart watches, TVs, PC monitors, washing machines, refrigerators, food appliances like water bottles and glassware)
- Cosmetics, DVDs, books, food (absolutely no meat), drinks, adult toys, medications, etc.
Rates: sensitive goods cost roughly 20% more than normal goods (see the table above).
If for personal (non-commercial) use in small quantities, sensitive goods may be charged at normal rates, and the surcharge may be waived at our discretion.
Prohibited goods: items banned by Singapore Customs (e.g. chewing gum, e-cigarettes, drugs, weapons) will not be shipped.
Controlled goods: some goods (e.g. processed food, health products and home appliances) require a valid import permit. Shipping without proper documentation is a serious offence.

For small parcels, you can choose to be charged by weight instead of volume.
We compare actual weight (kg) with dimensional weight: (L × W × H in cm) ÷ 6000.
If dimensional weight exceeds actual weight by 10 kg or less, we charge the actual weight.
If it exceeds by more than 10 kg, we charge the average of the two.
Examples:
- Actual 6 kg, dimensional 15 kg → charged 6 kg
- Actual 6 kg, dimensional 22 kg → charged (6 + 22) ÷ 2 = 14 kg

Sea shipments of 0.41 CBM and above are delivered free to your door.
Below 0.41 CBM, delivery is S$25, or you can self-collect for free from our partners’ collection points.
